- My earliest memory as an artist was demonstrating to my fellow kindergarteners how to draw a birthday cake--with a slice removed! I don’t remember a time when I didn’t think of myself as an artist. I have grown up to illustrate children’s books, magazine articles, fashion, and sewing techniques. I have designed for products, branding, brochures, advertising, and publishing. I have taught drawing, graphic design, illustration--I’ve even taught friends to sew. Drawing is a meditative experience for me. My best work happens when I get out of my head and into the experience of creating ‘magic’ on the page: small, contained worlds of serenity filled with soft light and palpable atmosphere.

It's cool that you DIDN'T clone the second bird from the first. That you actually had the patience to draw it! I think you have a future in the stationary business... you should look into that. :)
Very good drawings and coloring job. I like the simplicity and movement with in this piece.
